The research and development group is constantly engaged in customizing the various photogrammetric and GIS software suites in use in COWI India employing C#.NET, VB.NET, MVBA and Python for programming in MicroStation, AutoCAD, INPHO and Vr environments.

COWI India has also developed the COWI India Process Management (CIPM) software to assist both production staff and managers in successful execution and monitoring of projects.
CIPM is being employed in all projects of medium and large size at COWI India. CIPM also enables the clients to monitor the progress of their projects.

A large number of software tools

The R&D Group has developed a large number of software tools of great value. One of these tools is the Position Accuracy Improvement (PAI) tool for which COWI India holds the copyright. This tool has found extensive use in many of our major projects. Other tools of general interest recently developed by our R&D Group are determination of Building Heights From Shadows and the Power Management System (PMS).
