Vector mapping

Photo: COWI A/S
COWI India has produced vector maps for various applications since 1998. Our modern digital equipment, wide spectrum of software and highly skilled staff ensure the high quality of our production.

Digital vector mapping products are representations of major topographic map features with attributed point line and region/area data. Vector maps are digitized so that a geographical information system automatically can derive information from the vector features, making it possible to perform subsequent analysis (e.g. adjacency, proximity, and connectivity analyses).

Different clients and applications

COWI India started producing digital vector maps in 1998 and has accomplished a large number of projects for clients world-wide. We undertake projects of different sizes and for various purposes, e.g. for national mapping, large-scale civil engineering design and for mining applications. All projects undertaken meet national and/or international specifications.

With our highly skilled staff, having a thorough knowledge of mapping standards, we are able to organize a large production with quick ramp-up. Equipped with the latest fully digital high-speed 64 bit workstations and wide spectrum of software such as SocetSet, LPS, INPHO, we are capable of handling any imagery from digital photogrammetric cameras like Vexcel, DMC or ADS 40/50.

24-7 production

Our production is carried out on a 24-7 basis and our technical managers are available for communication with the clients throughout the duration of the project.

A key element of our services is our ability to manage complex projects to successful completion, incorporating innovative online monitoring and client communication, thereby facilitating timely delivery.
