The COWI Group carries out aerial photographic assignments with digital cameras such as: Vexcel UltraCam UCD no. 20, UCX no. 12 and UCX no. 16.
Aerial triangulation for digital and film aerial cameras
Our aerial triangulation software supports digital films, ADS40, DMC and Vexcel imageries and incorporate GPS/INS data to constrain and guide the process.
Digital terrain models
Digital surface models (DSM), digital terrain models (DTM) and digital elevation models (DEM) are produced as per your requirements.
Digital orthophoto generation
We deliver orthophoto mosaics according to the best international specifications and can handle your requirements in colour balancing and edge matching.
Digital vector data capture for 3D GIS data
Our highly skilled staff has thorough knowledge of European and US mapping standards and specifications. They carry out topographic and planimetric data capture in 3D according to the most demanding specifications and various map scales.
3D city modelling
The models are created from on already established basic maps like orthophotos and height models and are used for 3D visualization.
LIDAR data processing
Automated processing of LIDAR data is carried out for generation of 'bare earth' and creation of LIDAR derived land cover/land use classification. In June 2007 the COWI Group acquired the LIDAR system Leica ALS50-II.
3D architectural mapping for heritage buildings
3D terrestrial mapping is used for capturing architectural details of heritage buildings for preservation and restoration.
Photogrammetric training school
In 2002, COWI India started an in-house photogrammetric training school to train the staff in the field of 2D and 3D mapping. The training school was established mainly to cover our own need for qualified staff for various projects. To date, over 300 people from India and other countries have benefited from the training.
