COWI is a specialist in the study of coastal processes at existing coastlines and the impact of new marine structures such as ports, harbours and designing coastal protection and beach stabilisation jetties and marine terminals.

COWI India undertakes design of wide variety of coastal structures including.

• Shore connected and offshore breakwaters for ports, harbours and marine terminals.
• Revetment seawalls, groynes offshore/submerged breakwaters for coastal protection/erosion control.
• Slope  protection for dredging and reclamation projects.

In-house hydraulic expertise

We use advanced numerical models, MIKE21 and LITPACK, to determine hydrodynamic conditions, wave disturbance, water circulation, sediment transport and morphological consequences of man-made interventions.

Marine consultancy in all design phases

Our services are provided in all phases of coastal design and construction - from feasibility and FEED studies via DPR and detailed design to construction management, supervision, maintenance, trouble shooting and rehabilitation.
