In 2006, COWI A/S carried out aerial photography of Wales with a VEXCEL digital camera with the purpose of making orthophotos of Wales covering an area of 21,000 square kilometres. The aerial photography was captured in the dynamic range of 12 bits per pixel.
Orthophoto production
Kampsax India produced colour (RGB) and infrared (CIR) orthophotos in a 40 cm ground resolution. The orthophotos were generated with NEXT map radar scanning data as input for a digital terrain model.
The orthophotos are used for implementation and administration of new agricultural environmental schemes.
