The Danish Directorate for Food, Fisheries and Agri Business (DFFE) is in charge of managing the Danish farmers' applications for subsidies to the European Union. In order to manage these subsidies, DFFE uses a land parcel map - the so-called field block map. The land parcel map is updated on a continuous basis in connection with specific campaigns.

Based on orthophotos

The assignment included an update in both 2006 and 2007. The 2006 update was based on COWI´s Danish orthophotos from 2004, whereas the 2007 update was made using Danish orthophotos taken by COWI in 2006.

Production process

Based on the digital orthophotos, COWI India carried out vector mapping and revision of the field blocks. The revision of LPIS field blocks and the accompanying quality control were primarily carried out by COWI India in close cooperation with COWI.
